I10 March 2017: Invite to Jesus Queen of Heaven - A trans-led production Draper Hall, London 9/10/11 March 2017 7.30pm (1 hour)

queenjesusplays@gmail.com We wanted to let you know about our upcoming show in London next week, 'The Gospel According Jesus Queen of Heaven'. It's a revolutionary queer ritual in which stories are reimagined by a transgender Jesus.

We hope to get the word out to local trans people/groups, especially those who might not be frequent theatre-goers, as we'd really love for them to be at the performances. We would like to invite some of your community to attend.

On Friday 10th March we would like to invite you to a free pre-show discussion on trans and non-binary communities, and can offer you a pair of free tickets to the show afterwards. 2 free tickets are available from

17 May 2014  10:30-16:00 : Workshop: "LIVING IN PROPHETIC HOPE" CHANGING ATTITUDE GREATER LONDON EVENT

ST MARTIN-IN-THE-FIELDS LONDON WC2N 4JJ

This workshop prayed through and with the stories of individuals who have tapped into prophetic hope in the midst of homophobic oppression. It focussed on the story of the martyred Ugandan organizer David Kato, who, with his religious and secular friends, resisted the anti-gay witch-hunts in his own country; and it focussed on the stories of local panelists from Africa and Britain, who have fought for LGBTI and immigrant justice here in London. Through discussion, reflection, and prayer, we hope to discover the ways that God is stirring up prophetic hope in our own lives.

PLEASE DISTRIBUTE THIS INFORMATION AS WIDELY AS POSSIBLE

There will be an Act of Witness in Deans Yard Westminster on Thursday 9th February - the final day of General Synod's meetings in London.

It will be a silent Act of Witness for the thousands of faithful LGB&T Clergy who minister in the Church of England despite the discrimination and suspicion which they often suffer.

We will congregate in Dean's Yard by the entrance to Church House at 8:30am on Thursday 9th February in time to welcome General Synod members as they arrive for the day's business. There will also be an opportunity for prayer and to give leaflets out to people arriving at Church House. The Act of Witness will end by 10:15am.

With the House of Bishops review group on Sexuality beginning its work shortly, this is an important opportunity to draw attention to the extent to which the Church of England relies on LGB&T clergy. We hope that you will be able to join us on the day.

The entrance to Dean's Yard is through the arch next to Westminster Abbey by the Abbey Bookshop.  The address is Deans Yard London, SW1P 3NY.

Keynote speakers:

Arnold Browne The Scriptures and Sexual Diversity

Alison Webster Sexual Diversity and the Human Journey

The aim of this conference was to create a safe and holy space in which we can explore the themes of human sexuality, faith, and relationships, through listening, reflection and discussion. What is it about our sexuality that informs and expresses the nature of our humanity and our relationship with God?

At a time when the Church is deeply divided on the issue, many of us find this question perplexing, in the light of our own experiences, and of those whom we know.

Arnold Browne, the former Dean of Trinity College Cambridge, has a special interest in the use and abuse of the Bible and in counselling psychology. He has contributed chapters to Sex and the Christian Tradition (ed. Jeremy Morris) and to An Acceptable Sacrifice? Homosexuality and the Church (eds. Duncan Dormer and Jeremy Morris)

Alison Webster is Social Responsibility Adviser for the Anglican Diocese of Oxford, and has a longstanding interest in identity issues, particularly gender, race, sexuality and disability. She is the author of Wellbeing (SCM 2002), and You are mine (SPCK 2009), an in-depth study of the formation of identity

This conference was organized by members of The Centre for the Study of Christianity and Sexuality, Inclusive Church, Changing Attitude, LGCM, The Sibyls, and Church members in Norwich and Birmingham
